Kathleen Kelly has been working in clay since the mid 1970’s.  When starting out, Kathleen sold her work at art shows and festivals all

along the West Coast, from San Diego to San Francisco. 

 In the 1980’s, Kathleen found a way to faithfully reproduce her animal designs and started her own small giftware company, “The Critter

 Factory”.  Critter Factory animals enjoyed widespread popularity, selling all over the U.S.  In the '90’s, Kathleen licensed her characters

to a major giftware manufacturer who reproduced and marketed her designs all over the world.

Today, Kathleen ives in San Diego, California.  Concentrating on one-of-a-kind  pieces and experimenting with new directions and mediums, Kathleen's

evolving style still has the edgy whimsy that has always been characteristic of her work.
